Cauliflower Market Salad
Makes: 6 servings

This is one of the most popular salads served on Millionaires Row at Churchill Downs. The recipe has been requested more than any other and now here it is for you to enjoy at home.


  • 6 cups cauliflower florets (from one head), chopped into bite-size pieces
  • 2 cups broccoli slaw
  • 1 cup celery (3 stalks), diced
  • 1/2 cup red onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/3 cup sunflower seeds, roasted and salted


  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cauliflower, broccoli slaw, celery, onion, raisins, dried cranberries and sunflower seeds.
  • Add the desired amount of dressing and toss until well combined.
  • Serve at room temperature.

Apple Cider Slaw Dressing
Makes: 3/4 cup


  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt


  • In a small bowl, combine the oil, vinegar, sugar, lemon juice, pepper and salt.
  • Whisk until the sugar has dissolved and the oil has been fully incorporated.
